Almost £100,000 was awarded in Autumn 2019 to ten projects, from a £20,000 contribution to the costs of refurbishing the boathouse on the River Nith to £3,682 to redecorate the village hall in Collin.
The funding given is matched by more than £200,000 from other sources, helping ANCBC to continue its track record of enabling further investment in the local area and having a positive impact on the lives of residents.
Lindsay Henderson of Solway Sk8ing Club, which received a grant of £5,000 to contribute to the cost of sending all 4 synchronized skating teams to participate in the Brittania Cup said, “Getting these sort of grants is really beneficial for the skaters because it allows us to be inclusive so that all skaters can participate.”
