Scottish Power Renewables passed on their thanks to Foundation Scotland and ANCBC for the effort that was put into the year 1 report.

They are delighted to see the Harestanes Windfarm community benefit fund being put to good use and to see the number and variety of initiatives that it has helped to deliver.

Kenny Peberdy, Onshore Operations Director at ScottishPower Renewables, said: “We appreciate the effort that Annandale and Nithsdale Community Benefit Company has made to deliver the first year of Harestanes Windfarm community benefit fund. Their annual report illustrates the incredible breadth of local projects to receive funding during the first year of operations at Harestanes Windfarm. From sporrans, to play park equipment, to therapies for people with physical disabilities – it is fantastic to see so many worthwhile projects benefiting.  With £8,000,000 of community benefit funding available over the lifetime of Harestanes Windfarm, we hope that many more community groups will come forward to apply for funding in the coming years.”
